If you are in the business of making units with milling machines, then you are possibly in the market for milling machine parts. There are a number of businesses and companies which sell parts to fit these machines, and as there are a few different makes, models and sizes, then this might make it a little harder to find the parts which are needed.

These parts can range from a large number of different cutting tools, spindles, tool holders, precision lock nuts, mold and dies, rotary tables, grinding wheels and many others. The machines they fit can be machining centres like the computer numerical control, or known by its other name CNC. This comes in a number of different models from the Swiss lathe, the turning centres, horizontal and vertical types, boring mills, EDMs or electric discharge machines, grinding units, measuring machines or CMMs.
For those in the fabrication business there are parts to suit the CNC lasers, those for units which do shears and press brakes, turret punches, ones that do flame and plasma cutting, water jets and other miscellaneous items such as presses, folding machines, saws, tube benders and other things.
Then there are parts for people who have the manual machines such as the vertical boring mill and the horizontal milling machine. There are also pieces for engine lathes and manual grinders. Parts for these machines cover a wide array of industries from the aerospace and robotics, to the automotive industry, factory manual and automation, and machine tool industries.
The parts for these machines are use in a precision industry, and any part which has to be replaced must be well made and able to be fitted so that the unit it is used on can continue to do this type of work without making errors.
Cutting tools have to be of good quality and able to withstand very high temperatures at times, even though cooling fluids are used. These can be made from carbide, diamond and ceramic and there is also high speed steel. Some are coated with certain products to make them last longer, stay sharp and handle the high temperatures which milling produces. For those machines which are used to cut thermoset plastics, there are parts available for these as well.
The hobbyist has not been forgotten, as this machine would be much smaller than the large factory or other industry types. Businesses which stock pieces that have to be replaced can usually be found under the small engineering and milling websites. Or if you want to try your local engineering part specialist, they may be able to help with your needs, as they can usually get in touch with, or have contacts that know where to find these parts.
For the larger manufacturer or industry there are websites to help you find the parts you may be looking for or need at sometime. There are quite a few businesses and companies who sell these products, and if they do not have the piece you need they will also possibly have contacts which can find what you are looking for.
